Today, Beck Automation continues to be a family-run business — now in the hands of the third generation and completely owned by Christian and Nicolas Beck. During the last 20 years, collaboration with their father, Michel Beck (Beck Senior), has shaped and made the firm what it is today. |

1934. Oskar Beck (great-uncle of the present owners), founds a company specialising in distributing supplies and equipment to the printing industry. |

1960s. The introduction of new technologies in the printing industry makes the firm rethink its former business strategy as a distributor. As a result, the firm starts to concentrate more on the development of automation technology. Besides supplying machinery and materials to the printing industry (which the company continues to do up through the mid-1990s), Beck also starts developing high-quality equipment for measurement and production, such as:

1990s. The part of the company that focuses on supplying materials to the printing industry is passed on. At that point, both the automation and IML technology departments are merged to form a new unit that focuses solely on high-tech robotics for the IML industry. In the meantime Beck Automation becomes one of the most specialised and well-known firms in the field of IML. We put all of our efforts behind delivering highly customised, top-quality solutions at a reasonable price. In addition, established long-term partnerships are a key part of our success. |
